Ghana and Crystal Palace forward Kwesi Appiah has been linked with a switch to English third-tier side Southend after recovering from a career threatening injury last two months.

Kwesi Appiah was left out of the Palace team for the season and with the arrival of Christian Benteke and imminent arrival of Loic Remy means he will have to look for regular football elsewhere.

Appiah has had loan spells Notts County, Queens Park Rangers and Cambridge United.

He was a surprise inclusion in Ghana's AFCON squad two years ago and had a very good tournament.
