Sporting Kansas City coach Peter Vermes has heaped praises on fast improving Ghanaian forward Latif Blessing.

The 20-year-old forward joined the Wizards at the start of Major League Soccer from Ghana Premier League outfit Liberty Professionals.

The nimble footed forward has already hit the ground running with his breathtaking displays, scoring five goals to help the side to third on the log in the Eastern Conference table.

Three of his goals have come in the topflight, with two others registered in the US Open Cup, where KC are through to the finals

“He’s like the little energizer bunny," Vermes said, as reported by his club's official website.

"He’s actually getting better and better in our system all the time and that’s probably the most important thing.

He’s got a great mentality.”

He had a loan stint with lower division outfit Swope Park Rangers before rejoining the Wizards.
