Ligue 2 side Lorient have named an 18-man squad  for their clash with Valenciennes tonight without Ghana striker Majeed Waris.

Waris, 26, was sidelined for two days due to some illness and could not train with the side until Wednesday.

GHANAsoccernet.com reported that the player was a massive doubt for the clash at the Stade du Hainaut due to his inability to train on Monday and Tuesday.

But reports this morning indicated that Waris could be in the squad for the clash later tonight.

The side was thrown in a relaxed mood after the Ghana forward completed the full training session on Wednesday and Thursday ahead of the clash.

Latest reports coming from France indicate that the swift attacker has been ruled out of the game and did not travel with the side for the game tonight at Valenciennes.

Waris could have played against his former side if he had been given the opportunity to the Stade du Hainaut.
