Olympique Marseille officials have confirmed Ghana winger Andre Ayew is close to full recovery after returning to training 14 days ago.

Andre has been doing separate training with club team doctor Frédéric Faure as he nears his return to action but Marseille interim manager Jose Anigo has confirmed the 24-year-old is close to full recovery.

Marseille have been struggling in the absence of the winger as they have suffered a string of defeats in the Ligue 1.

Andre suffered a knee injury while on international assignment with Ghana in the 2014 World Cup qualifying play-off against Egypt in November.
