The Black Stars had a royal visit from Ashanti King Otumfuo Osei Tutu II on Thursday at the Baba Yara Stadium.

The powerful traditional ruler spent 25 minutes at their last training session before playing Lesotho on Friday.

"I know you all are aware of what is at stake and the coach is one of you so talk to him to get the best. He is not a foreigner so you can do things better," Otumfuo told the players.

Stand-in captain Sulley Muntari expressed gratitude and promised to make the Ashanti chief a happy person by winning.

"Anytime you can to visit us, we get motivated and if you decide to come to the stadium or stay at home, we will make you happy," the AC Milan ace said.

Otumfuo is the Life Patron of newly-crowned Ghana Premier League champions Asante Kotoko.
