Ghana goalkeeper Daniel Agyei backs Medeama to turn around dwindling fortunes

Ex-Medeama goalkeeper Daniel Agyei is backing the side to turn around their downward spiral in the Ghanaian top-flight.

The Mauve and Yellows have been disappointing since the start of the season, picking a paltry five points from six games.

The Tarkwa-based side lost 1-0 at home to Wa All Stars to pile more misery on head coach Augustine Evans Adotey.

The defeat followed similar setbacks against Liberty Professionals and Ebusua Dwarfs in the last two weeks.

But Ghana goalkeeper Daniel Agyei, who enjoyed a scintillating six-months spell in Tarkwa, has backed the side to rebound.

"I can understand the frustration of the fans and the players but sometimes it happens," he told GHANAsoccernet.com

"It could be a blessing in disguise to go through crisis at this early stage so you find answers and begin to pick maximum points.

"Medeama is a big club with massive potential and I'm confident they will find their rhythm.

"The fans should be patient with the coach and the players. I am confident it will turn out to be good in the final analysis."

The two-time FA Cup champions travel to Dorma to face league leaders Aduana Stars on Wednesday.
