Goalkeeper Fatau Dauda is eager to take Ghana to the World Cup to become one of the ambassadors for the Premier Soccer League.

The 28-year-old currently plays his club football in South Africa with giants Orlando Pirates.

Dauda is however yet to make his official debut for the Buccaneers since arriving from AshantiGold at the start of the season.

The shot-stopper is now on the verge of qualifying Ghana to next year’s World Cup in Brazil as the first choice goalkeeper for the Black Stars.

Dauda is even more determined to get the World showpiece to help promote the South African top flight.

“I’m playing in South Africa and if Ghana qualifies for the World Cup I’m sure that will be good for the PSL because I will be going there to represent it,” he said.

“I’m sure it is the PSL’s aim to have many players at the World Cup and I will be proud to represent the League.”

Dauda with his Black Stars team carry a comfortable 6-1 advantage going into the second-leg of the World Cup playoff against Egypt on November 19.
