Ghana goalkeeper Razak Brimah was in full time action for Cordoba in their emphatic 4-1 away win at Ecija on Monday night.

The 26-year-old was making his 14th consecutive start for the Caliphs as they continue their chase for survival in the Spanish second tier.

Cordoba took an early lead through Mane but the hosts equalized in the 26th minute through Ruben Alonso in the game played at San Pablo.

Jose Antonio Romero’s side left it late to clinch the win in grand style but not without a resolute defensive display which saw the Black Stars goalkeeper pull up vital saves to keep his side in the game.

Fran Serrano headed Cordoba back into the lead with four minutes left to play before Jose Antonio Gonzalez stretched the lead in the 90th minute.

Gonzalo Verdu then put the gloss on Cordoba’s win which lifts them clear off the relegation zone with five games to the end of the season.
