Ghana goalkeeper Razak Brimah has revealed that his lack of game time last season at Cordoba was mainly because he chose to play for Ghana at the Africa Cup of Nations.

The now free agent has returned to Spain to sort out his future with clubs in Denmark and Norway all showing interest in signing the former Nania FC man.

Brimah was in post only for 4 league games as Polish Pawel Kieszek was preferred to the former Ghana number one.

But speaking on Accra based Citi fm for the first time in six months Brimah says he was just a victim of circumstances at club level.

“A lot of people don’t know this but I did not play more at club level because I chose to play for Ghana,” Brimah said

“With the AFCON approaching they told me clearly that if I was going then they were bringing in a new goalkeeper.”

“But I have always said that regardless of what happens I will never turn my back against my nation I will never do it.”

Brimah is expected to sign for a club in the coming days and begin pre-season with his new team soon.
