Ghana goalkeeper Razak Brimah claims he has reached an agreement with Cordoba to leave the club over his desire for regular first team action.

The Spanish top flight side had announced the departure of the 27-year-old who was only promoted to the senior team during the off-season.

Brimah joined Cordoba in January but was made to work with their reserve side where he excelled in keeping the side in the third tier.

The Ghana international was then promoted to the senior team who have earned promotion to play in the Spanish top flight.

The ex Nania FC shot-stopper has however been told he will be third choice goalkeeper with a few weeks to the start of the La Liga season.

But Brimah whose ambition is to stage a return to the Black Stars team claims he offered to move elsewhere where he will be the undisputed no.1.

“I was told by the coach [at Cordoba] that I will not be his first choice,” he told GHANAsoccernet.com.

“But I want to play so that I can get a chance to return to the national team and therefore I had to move somewhere I know I can get regular games.

“I still have a one year contract left with Cordoba and I am discussing with them how we can end this deal so that I am able to move as a free player elsewhere.”

Brimah has won only two caps with the Ghana national team and was on the Black Stars stand-by list for the 2014 World Cup.
