Glo Mobile, title sponsors of the Ghana Premier League, are expected to start full operation in the country soon, according to Minister of Communications Haruna Iddrisu.

Iddrisu claims his Ministry and the Environment Ministry have been directed by President John Evans Atta Mills to speed up the process that will allow the telephony operators to roll out before the end of the year.

It will also help cement the relationship between the Ghana Football Association and the telecommunication company.

Globacom, based in Nigeria, threatened to withdraw their sponsorship to the top flight league because of what they perceived as deliberate attempts to prevent them from operating in Ghana.
