Ghana insists lives must not be lost for Egypt return leg
Egypt fans

The Ghana Football Association has reiterated the need to move the World Cup playoff return leg against Egypt away from Cairo.

The security situation in the North African country has deteriorated following latest clashes between supporters of ousted president Mohamed Morsi and the security forces.

The Ghana FA has written to the world football's governing body to reconsider the venue.

FIFA has set up a committee to look into the worrying situation and will advise the two associations.

"We don't want to lose any Ghanaian lives (and) we don't want to lose any Egyptian lives just because of a football match," Ghana FA spokesperson Sannie-Daara said.

Just go and play. What of the countries that played in Egypt during the qualifiers! Cowards! FIFA should not guarantee you anything. Zambia requested for a neautral venue before playing you sighting security concerns for there players and fans. So who are you? Egypt should also have home ground advantage. We will teach you a lesson when you come. Sorry, This is the end of the road for Ghana.
