Chile U20 coach Mario Sallas says Ghana, their opponents in Sunday's quarter-final clash at the U20 World Cup, are tougher than their previous opponents Croatia.

Sallas says they must redouble their efforts to be able to beat the Ghanaian to reach the semi-final of the competition in Turkey.

The little La Rojas defeated Croatia 2-0 in the round of 16 on Wednesday to beat to set up the clash with the Black Satellites in the last eight of the competition in Turkey.

Ghana edged 3-2 past tournament favourites Portugal to be able to reach the quarter-finals which has sparked some respect from the Chile boss.

Sallas insists they must be as their best if they want to defeat the Ghanaians to advance.

"We understand that we have to reinvent ourselves and do everything possible to beat Ghana," Sallas said.

"The Black Satellites are a tougher opponent than Croatia and we should expect a higher intensity. We will try to win."
