Hearts of Oak midfielder Winful Cobbina has expressed his belief that their Ghana Premier League ambition is not over despite their disappointing start to the campaign.

The Rainbow Club are going through a rough patch in the ongoing Ghana Premier League - having picked only 11 points after nine round of games as they occupy 10th position on the standings.

Despite their abysmal form, Cobbina is buoyant of their chances as they aim to mount a late charge on the league title.

"It's true we drew but we played very well, recalled talented Cobbina. We made some mistakes and lost our focus in the early minutes of the game that resulted in us conceding a goal but we weren't going to lose for the third consecutive time. Everybody ran, got stuck in and fought hard. All we were lacking was a little bit of luck.” he told kickgh.com

Cobbina took the opportunity to plead with the fans to remain calm and still support the team in spite of all."

"I understand how the fans feel. They've always been supportive and we keep letting them down."

"We are also not happy but about the recent developments and are doing everything possible to ensure that we up our performance and start winning for them."

"All is not lost - we will start winning for them. They shouldn't get tired supporting us. The situation will soon change."

Hearts will travel to the Baba Yara Sports Stadium to engage sworn adversaries Asante Kotoko on match day 10 on Sunday, April 29.
