Ghana legend Kofi says No to coaching

Ghana football legend Reverend Osei Kofi says he has no plans of coaching despite a flourished playing career.

The Ex-Asante Kotoko star was reportedly linked with the club's Under-20 job but has moved to squash those reports.

Kofi has been explaining why he would not turn to coaching after a successful playing career.

"To be honest I've never thought of coaching because of what it entails. Most of current crop of players that we have never adhere to instructions and that attitude has deterred me from that job," he said.

"You teach them something at training and they get onto the pitch and do their own thing. I am not sure I can’t bear the insults that will come from supporters when the team is not doing well."

He added: "Moreover I’m a man of God and therefore the repercussions that will come on any one that insults me because of a football match will be too hard to handle and that why I’ve always preferred to rather offer technical advice to coaching.''

Kofi scored three goals to emerge topscorer as Ghana lifted the 1965 Africa Cup of Nations in Tunisia.
