Ghana legend Reverend Osei Kofi has alleged outgoing sports minister Nii Lantei Vanderpuye hounded him from his outfit - representing retired footballers.
The negative attitude of the 'antagonistic' Member of Parliament for Odododiodio constituency is well documented since he assumed the reign in February.
The triple Olympian has given a chilling revelation about how he was hounded from his office after he was appointed by former President Kuffuor to represent retired footballers.
"Somebody told me earlier that he [Nii Lantei] wants to sack me from the position so I was even expecting the letter and it was handed to me in April" he told Takoradi based Spice FM
"I was appointed under the NPP's administration by Rashid Bawah and Mr. Baah Wiredu to represent the former footballers at the ministry.
"We were given an office at the ministry after the establishment of the retired footballers association but I have now been sacked by the minister in April.
"They government was paying me Gh¢ 400 every month but Nii Lantey told government does not have fund to pay for the amount every month.
''I did not even attend to the family of the late Ben Koufie because that was money I used for transportation when something happens to a retire footballer."
Under his tenure, the Ghana FA was painted in bad light with a view of courting disaffection, disdain and mistrust to ultimately force the federation’s president Nyantakyi out of office.
He is suspected to be behind the scandalous and libelous media attacks on the Ghana federation seeking to paint Nyantakyi and the federation as corrupt – two journalists currently are standing trial over some of these false media reports.
Vanderpuye will not live any longer in his position to carry out his agenda as his party lost the election which means he will not be retained as the sports minister.
