John Boye wants home advantage to count against Sudan

Black Stars defender John Boye says playing in comfortable surroundings in Kumasi can help the team achieve victory over Sudan in a 2014 World Cup qualifier this Sunday.

The Black Stars will arrive in the country’s second largest city on Wednesday afternoon for Sunday’s showdown against the Nile crocodile.

The Baba Yara stadium is largely seen a fertile ground for the Black Stars where they have chalked up impressive wins in the past.

The Rennes defender wants his colleagues to take advantage of being on territory they can call ‘favourite’ home grounds.

“We are playing at home and so we must make that count on Sunday,” Boye said

“It’s a very difficult game but we going to our favourite home grounds and I believe the fans will be there in their numbers to support us.”

The Black Stars thumped Lesotho 7-0 in their first qualifier at the Baba Yara stadium in June last year.
