Ghana midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu has hailed Andre Ayew for making a ‘wise’ career decision after signing for Swansea.

Badu, who plays for Italian side Udinese, believes his international teammate will excel with the ambitious English side.

Andre completed a four-year deal with the Swans after ending a 11-year association with French powerhouse Olympique Marseille.

And the Ghana international has tapped his compatriot on the shoulders for a wise move.

“He has made a wise career decision and my respect for him has soared,” he told Accra-based Kasapa FM

“Andre is a tough guy and very talented and he will work his way to the top.

“Swansea is a good move and I believe he might not even see out his contract. He may be snapped up by a bigger club in England or Europe.

“You go to a club where you can be guaranteed regular playing time and also earns respect and that for me is crucial.”

Andre will begin his career with Swansea with their opening game against English champions Chelsea in August.
