Agyemang Badu is the subject of interest from English clubs

Ghana midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu could be close to realising his dream of playing in England as Stoke City and Hull City are set for a £4m fight for his signature.

The hard tackling midfielder, who plays for Italian side Udinese, may have previously attracted the attention of Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal in the summer.

But his requests to feature on a regular basis in the Premier League have pricked the ears of Steve Bruce and Mark Hughes, as the ex-Manchester United duo look to strengthen their respective midfield options.

The 23-year-old featured for Ghana in Brazil at the World Cup and subsequently pulled in interest from some of the Premier League's biggest clubs.

They then immediately walked away when he strongly held by his comments which revealed he wants to be a regular team player.

After crashing out of Europe during the early stages, Bruce is looking to find the players in order to reach owner Assem Allam's expectations of reaching the top half of the table.

In the same boat as the Tigers, Mark Hughes' Stoke are also plotting a top 10 finish in May, and penning the deal of the Ghanaian could assist the Potters in gaining that status.

With his current club Udinese reluctant to sell Agyemang-Badu, the Premier League duo may have to undergo a challenging obstacle course amongst themselves in the signing of the 23-year-old.

WOULD UDINESE SELL?

However, the Serie A side may decide to chance their stance on the midfielder, as a juicy profit could take their fancy. As much as £4 million is being mooted for his services, according to the Daily Mirror.
