Ex- Ghana youth midfielder Michael Anaba expects his childhood friend Abdul Baba Rahman to excel heavily at Chelsea.
Rahman secured a dream move to the English champions from Augsburg last week.
The Ghana international was left out of the team which secured a 3-2 win at West Brom on Sunday but the Elche midfielder has expressed his joy at the progress of his former Kotoko teammate.
ââ¬ÅI am very happy for him and I know that he will make all of us proud. The deal had been in the offing for months but had to be kept in the cooler until things were clearer,â⬠he told GHANAsoccernet.com
ââ¬ÅYou have to give a lot of credit to his agent Sacha and manager Kurt Okraku for how they managed the whole scenario. They did a professional work and I must commend them for it.
ââ¬ÅHe is excited and Iââ¬â¢m praying that he succeeds at Chelsea, He is a tough guy and will work his way to the top.ââ¬
Rahman, 21, is expected to make his hugely-waited debut for the Blues on Saturday when they host Crystal Palace.
Anaba and Rahman have been close friends since childhood.
