Ghana midfielder Anthony Annan is likely to leave German side Schalke 04 at the end of the season with a couple of Dutch and Swedish sides interested in him.

The 27-year-old has made just three appearances at the Veltins Arena since returning from a long injury lay-off in January and his running contract at the Gelsenkirchen will run out at the end of the season.

A couple of clubs have already made enquiries about Annan's situation with Dutch sides Vitesse Arnhem and Heerenveen leading the pack to land him.

However Swedish champions Malmo FF are already monitoring the former Rosenborg BK midfielder and will try to sign him at the end of the season.

Annan has made just three Bundesliga appearances this season and came off the bench to play the last minutes of Schalke's 3-1 loss against Real Madrid in the Uefa Champions League.
