Ghana midfielder Anthony Annan in the centre of another biting incident

Ghanaian midfielder Anthony Annan has been involved in another biting incident but this time against his own Schalke team-mate Kyriakos Papadopoulos.

The German club suffered the bizarre training-ground injury scare to whizkid Papadopoulos, who had his hand hurt by team-mate Anthony Annan's TEETH.

It forced the Greek defender, 19, out of training.

Schalke boss Ralf Rangnick said: "He had severe pain in the hand, so he cancelled the workout as a precaution."

It is the latest misfortune to hit the Bundesliga outfit ahead of Tuesday's semi-final first leg in Gelsenkirchen.

Last year Annan was accused of biting an opponent three times on the stomach during a Norwegian league game.

Annan, who was then a player of Rosenborg, scuffled with Aalesund striker Tor Hogne Aaroy, who later claimed that he had been bitten by the midfielder, saying: "He nibbled my chest."

While the latest incident seems to be an accidental, the previous case in Norway put the Ghanaian player in  bad light with several replays of the incident of television.
