Ghana midfielder Andre Ayew believes Group E has been the toughest of the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

All four teams in the pool have an equal chance of qualifying to the finals in Equatorial Guinea after the penultimate round of matches.

Uganda revived their campaign after beating Ghana 1-0 in Kampala and Guinea improved to joint second with a 4-1 win over Togo in Lome.

Leaders Ghana have eight points; followed by Uganda and Guinea with 7 points and Togo have six points.

Qualification in the Group is down to the wire and Ayew says all four teams are credible opponents.

“It has been a difficult qualifying campaign because the countries in our group are tough. We are in this situation because we allowed this to develop this way,” the Olympique Marseille star said.

“But we are in the lead in the group and the other teams will be happy to be in our place. We should know that when we are called Ghana the expectations will be high so we need to step up our game.”
