Charles Takyi got sent off while in action for Energie Cottbus in Germany

Ghana international midfielder Charles Takyi received a red card while in action for relegated Energie Cottbus in the German Bundesliga II on Saturday. 

The 29-year-old committed a second bookable offence in the 43rd minute and was marched off by center referee Christian Dietz and the home side, FSV Frankfurt, took advantage of their numerical superiority to thrash them 3-1.

Takyi, who played for Ghana at the 2012 AFCON, picked his first booking of the match when he went he into the referee's pocket for a bad foul on FSV Frankfurt midfielder Teixeira.

Things got worst for the former St Pauli man when he caught Frankfurt midfielder and attracted the second yellow card of the afternoon thus his sending off.

Takyi made a total of 21 appearances and scored twice for Cottbus who have been relegated from the German top-flight.
