Ghana midfielder Isaac Cofie is delighted to have scored his first goal for Genoa to help the side secure a vital point away to Parma over the weekend.

The 22-year-old scored the opener after 21 minutes.

The Red-Blues however gave up the lead 10 minutes later with Ezequiel Schelotto scoring the equalizer for the hosts.

Gernoa however held on to pick up a vital away point to boost their recent poor form in Serie-A.

Genoa’s Ghanaian midfield gem Isaac Cofie was delighted to have played a major part in helping the side to the tough draw as he savours his debut goal.

"I'm happy for this goal, even if it did little good because we have picked up just one point,” he said.

“With a little 'more attention could bring home the win, but we still held our own against a strong team like Parma.

“We are trying to give continuity to our performance, and today, in contrast to what happened with Juve, we were able to bring home a positive result."

Genoa will now be looking to build upon the vital away draw when they host Lazio in their next league game on Wednesday.
