Ghana midfielder Kevin Prince Boateng powers Eintracht Frankfurt to 2-1 win over Leipzig

Ghana midfielder Kevin Prince Boateng scored a brilliant goal to power Eintracht Frankfurt to  2-1 win over Leipzig on Monday night in the German Bundesliga.

The Ghanaian international’s fifth goal of the season was the only thing the home side needed to move to third on the Bundesliga log.

The game which delayed slightly at the Commerzbank-Arena saw Leipzig taking  an early lead when Konrad Laimer burst forward and cut a neat ball back for Jean-Kevin Augustin to sweep home in the 13 minute.

Frankfurt refused to stay behind for long as USA defender Timmy Chandler stabbed in the equaliser after Leipzig failed to deal with a corner.

The shambolic defending of Leipzig let in the hosts for their second as Ante Rebic broke clear to put through Kevin-Prince Boateng for his fifth Bundesliga goal of the season only four minutes later.

Kevin Prince Boateng has been a great inspirational figure for the young Frankfurt side and his splendid performance for the side has shot them to the 3rd position – a spot they will relish to be by the end of the league.
