Ghana and Juventus midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah took part and completed a rigorous training session with his Juventus team mates today.

The 26-year-old Ghana international is finally regaining his fitness after a horrific injury kept him out of action since  November.

The ankle injury which was picked up in Juventus’s UEFA Champions League Group game against Olympiakos last November was initially expected to heal in three months but has taken almost a year following complications.

Asamoah was  notably absent in Ghana’s second place finish in this year’s Africa Cup of Nations held in Equatorial Guinea and also missed the UEFA Champions League final where Juventus eventually lost to Spanish side Barcelona by 3-1.

The former Udinese man has however returned to full scale training and is expected to be slowly integrated back into Massimiliano Allegri’s side for the campaign.

Juventus have endured a difficult start to life in Serie A this season but got a massive come from behind 2-1 victory over high flying Manchester City in the UEFA Champions League this season.
