Ghana midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah is set to be rewarded with a new contract at Juventus as interest mounts following his consistent displays this season.

The 25-year-old has been one of the regular performers for the Italian champions since arriving from Udinese in 2012.

Some top clubs in Europe have taken notice of Asmaoah’s enhanced quality and are looking to make offers this summer.

But Juventus have moved quickly to secure their interest in the Ghana international by offering him an improved deal especially with the 2014 World Cup fast on the horizon.

“There is already an agreement in principle,” the Black Stars midfielder’s agent Claudio Vaghegi has revealed.

“We pretty much agree on everything. It remains with the signing, but it’s just a few details.

“By the end of the week we will try to define everything.”

The former Liberty Professionals player is Ghana’s most consistent player with a top European club this season.
