Suspended Ghana midfielder Michael Essien testified at the World Cup Commission of Inquiry on Monday in camera via Skype.

The AC Milan player was scheduled to give his account on Tuesday but had to bring it a day forward due to an impending assignment.

He explained the Rossoneri will be heading to camp on Tuesday and so decided to appear before the commission on Monday.

Essien’s conversation with the commissioners lasted for an hour.

“Michael Essien spent an hour with the Commission of Inquiry into Brazil 2014 this afternoon via Skype. Fruitful interaction,” Spokesperson of the Commission Thomas Boakye Agyemang said.

Home-based trio Fatau Dauda, Rashid Sumaila and Stephen Adams will appear on Tuesday morning.
