Ghana midfielder Rabiu Mohammed is delighted with his debut performance in the French top-flight for Evian Thonon Gaillard.

The 22-year-old was rewarded with a five-year-deal after helping Evian gained promotion to the French Lique 1 last season.

He joined them on loan in 2010.

He has since gone ahead to feature in over 20 matches in all competitions this term for the side and  has masterfully commanded the midfield for the European outfit.

Mohammed, regarded as a carbon copy of Chelsea ace Michael Essien says he’s thrilled with his first season at the top-level in France.

“This season has really been good for me as I have played more than 20 games for my club in all competitions” Mohamemd told Konongo -based Kings Radio.

“The French game deals with lots of physique so one has to always be mentally and physically strong.

“Because in a game you can meet not less than 5 strong Black players who might be stronger than you so you have to do extra work to match them squarely”

The ex-Liberty Professionals attacker was member of the Black Satellites squad that won the World Youth Championship in Egypt in 2009.
