Ghana midfielder Sulley Muntari identifies USA as World Cup threat
Sulley Muntari says the Americans pose a great threat to Ghana

Ghana midfielder Sulley Muntari has pinpointed the United States as a major threat for the Black Stars' ambition of reaching the second round of the World Cup in June.

The Black Stars have been drawn in Group G of the competition is Brazil to face Germany, Portugal and the United States.

Ghana beat the Americans in the two previous World Cups which has sparked hopes in certain quarters that the Black Stars will beat them again.

However the AC Milan midfielder insists that the Americans are more determined to exact revenge over Ghana which will make the opening group very difficult for the Black Stars.

" I can understand the attention on Germany and Portugal but the USA will be equally difficult to beat," Muntari said.

"We have beaten them twice at the World Cup so they would also want to get back at us. They will be difficult to beat as it is our third meeting."

Ghana will open its World Cup campaign against the United States before taking on Germany and Portugal.

Germany and Portugal are regarded as the favourites in the 'Group of Death'.
