Ghana midfielder Thomas Partey will return to Spain next week to begin preseason with his Atletico Madrid team.
The Ghanaian has been spending time with his family back home in Ghana and is expected to return in the next five days as Simeone looks to make him a bigger player.
Partey played some games at right back and was always in the midst when midfielders were withdrawn.
Reports in England continue to link Partey with a move to Leicester City but with a ban for the his club it’s unlikely that he will leave.
He was excused from Ghana’s game against Mexico and the United States.
