Ghana opponent South Korea beats Serbia in friendly

South Korea proved too strong a team as they beat Serbia 2-1 in a warm-up game played in the 2002 World Cup Stadium in Seoul on Friday.

Goals from Park Chu-Young and Kim Young-Kwan in either halves of the game ensured Radosav Petrovic's late strike would only be a mere consolation.

The highly entertaining game saw to the fore the in-form Monaco striker Park Chu-Young who has been linked with a move to a number of clubs after scoring 12 goals in Ligue 1 though his team has been relegated.

Serbia, who were beaten by the Black Stars at the group stage of the 2010 world Cup in South Africa on the other hand, looked a pale shadow of themselves, perhaps due to exhaustion since most of their players ply their trade in most of the big clubs in Europe.

South Korea next tackle Ghana in an international friendly on Tuesday at the same venue.
