Member of Parliament Ayesuano Samuel Ayeh for has called on the honourable house to intervene and resolve the issue between Kevin-Prince Boateng and Ghana coach Goran Stevanovic.

Boateng, 24, has written to the Ghana FA to officially express his decision to quit the Black Stars – citing his inability to cope with both club and country football as his reasons.

However a perceived rift between Ghana’s Serbian coach Stevanovic and the AC Milan star has been consistently fingered as the reason for Boateng’s shocking decision.

And this the hounorable MP, has called on the august house to intervene and resolve in order to maximize Ghana’s chances at next year’s African Cup of Nations in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea.

“I will urge the Select Committee on Youth and Sports and Parliament in general to look at the situation between the technical handlers of the Ghana Black Stars and the players so that if there is anything we have to resolve before the tournament comes on” the honorable member said on the floor of parliament.

“Now we know the friction between Prince Boateng and the coach, when you sit by your radio and you listen to the version of the technical handler and the player.., I think it is very important that we step in, all the stakeholders get involved and help get this issue resolved before we go to Gabon and Equatorial Guinea.

“That we will not go there and come home without the cup to say that should we even solve the problem between Prince Boateng and the coach…because this boy is highly involved before we were able to get all these beautiful scores.”
