Black Stars at training
Ghana will begin their 2013 Africa Cup campaign against DR Congo in Port Elizabeth on 20 January.
The Black Stars will be facing the Leopards coached by former Ghana coach Claude Le Roy who is well travelled on the continent.
The Frenchman was on the Ghana bench at the 2008 Africa Cup of Nations where he won bronze with the hosts.
At the 1996 tournament also hosted by South Africa, Ghana beat then Zaire 1-0 in the quarter-final match.
The two sides last met in 2005 in a qualifier to the 2006 FIFA World Cup which ended in a 1-1 draw played in Kinshasa.
Ghana’s second Group B match will be against old foes Mali, Group opponents at the last edition of the Cup of Nations in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea.
Kwesi Appiah side’s will play their final match against West African neighbours Niger on 28 January.
Ghana finished fourth at the last edition.
is ass kickin tym bois
Blah blah blah football is played on the pitch and not on paper. Do not count your chicks before the eggs have hatched. Watch out. You will be made to kiss the dust again by Mali!!
HHHhhhhhmmmmmmmmmmmmmm this group is though can we qualify from this group?
Our group looks eazy but is tough.
This group is very easy and manageable as compared to the last edition where we burnt ourselves out during the group stages… we need to beat Dr congo very easily because i know our name will scared and we have to take advantage of it…. we should start working on our setpieces because a lot of African teams are naive in defending setpieces and this is where our goals should come from.. this is where we can get our goals from considering the fact that, most african teams packed the bus when playing against us and it makes it difficult to penetrate their watertight defence due to a lack of credible playermaker in our setup!! Checked this out.. we scored most of our goals during the last afcon edition with setpieces ie corners!!! We beat Botswana with John mensah header, beat Tunisia with mensah header and then capped it off with superb asa freekick!!! Least i forget, that wonderful badus volley against guinea was also from a short cornerkick from dede to a teammate before giving badu the pass to score that cracker!!! Checked it again,in lilongwe malawi, the solitary goal by acquah, was as a result of a short cornerkicker!! Whenever we take short cornerkicks,it most at times results in a goal and i think we need to work on it more as it can be our trumpcard!!! We should rehearse it over and over again and it can help us esp when the bus is packed!!! Yet again, we need a playermaker more than we need fullbacks!! The only problem of Ghana now is not fullbacks but rather a credible placemaker and i thank god,we have find one in atsu!! We should let atsu play deep as an offensive attacking midfielder cum a playemaker!!! K asamoah this should be deployed to the left side, andre to the right side period!! We have tried k asa playing deep and eversince Angola where he performed credible,i think he has stuggled almost all of our games and is about time we turn the tables to see!! Vuva the revolutionciooooooooooooo!!!!

Somebody should tell the Zambians that they have a new neighbor. Nigerian website is ready to welcome them.
All Zambians should please go away, we are tired of your childish rantings. Goodbye and good luck, yes you need more luck than ever before.
We will beat Kidiaba & Mputu narrowly as we match to top our group. The Zambians have given us a break. now, they have a bone to pick with Naija. The Super Eagles will luv to top the group & gratefully push the Africa champions to meet Ivory coast in the quarter finals where your guess is as good as mind.
Appiah should know that CLAUDE LEROY has been a former coach of Ghana will try to slip a win over Ghana by defending and playing counter. Just like HERVE RENARD who also knew Ghana did with zambia at the past Afcon. But this time lesson learnt, IT WILL NOT WORK. APPIAH SHOULD ALWAYS PSYCHE THE DEFENDERS UP BEFORE AND DURING GAMES. AND ATTACK WITH CAUTION. WE HAVE GOOD PLAYERS. WE WILL SAIL THROUGH EASILY.
