Razak Brimah was not on the Ghana team sheet for the game against Togo

Goalkeeper Razak Brimah didn’t even make the Ghana bench in the win over Togo on Wednesday after complaining of pains in his gum.

The 27-year-old had been cleared to feature in the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier in Lome after completing Tuesday evening’s training session.

Brimah had lost his tooth in a clash with Jordan Ayew in a previous training session.

Further assessment of the injury at the hospital however revealed he suffered no broken jaw as initially feared.

He was then able to train fully with the Black Stars team on arrival in Lome on Tuesday.

Brimah however experienced some excruciating pain in his gum on Wednesday morning, prompting his withdrawal from the match day squad.

Ghana thus played the 2015 AFCON qualifier against Togo with only two goalkeepers – Stephen Adams and Fatau Dauda with the former manning the post.

Brimah was seen on the touchline not kitted for action and holding his chin gingerly.

The severity of his injury is however yet to be known even though the general believe is that it is not serious.

The ex Nania man will continue with his treatment when he returns to his Spanish club CD Mirandes later this week.
