Alhaji Nurudeen scored an own goal to deny Medeama maximum points as they shared the spoils in a 1-1 stalemate against Liberty Professionals at home.
The Mauve and Yellows were cruising to victory until Nurudeen directed the ball into his own net to hand the visitors a share of the spoils.
Striker Nathaniel Asamoah gave Medeama the lead in the 9th minute and looked on course for their fourth win of the season but Nurudeenââ¬â¢s unfortunate own goal ensured both teams shared the points.
The defeat will be a massive blow to coach Tom Strand men who were desperate to return to winning ways after losing 2-1 at Bechem United.
For Liberty the result will be a big one having managed a narrow 1-0 win over Berekum Chelsea in their last encounter.
