Egyptian side Misr El-Makasa are among four African sides who have enquired about the availability of leading Ghana Premier League goal king Nathaniel Asamoah.

But the Fayoum-based club, who are fourth on the table, must be prepared to face Sudanese side Al Merreikh and an unnamed Tunisia side for his signature.

Asamoah is in demand after banging 12 goals in 13 league appearances to end the first half of the Ghana top-flight.

"So far I can confirm that in Africa, four clubs have contacted us concerning him (Nathaniel Asamoah)," Medeama CEO James Essilfie told Bogoso-based Best FM

"The first one is an Egyptian club called Al Magasah and even with them they have proposed a figure and then Al Merreikh of Sudan who have spoken to us but have not made any official offer.....We also have made contacts with an Algerian club and a Tunisian club who have all not shown official will.

"So far it is the Egyptian club that have tabled an official bid and we will sit down to consider the offers."

Asamoah is currently with the local Black Stars in South Africa for the local Black Stars.
