Ghana Premier League Match Report: Aduana Stars 3-0 Medeama - Yahaya Mohammed bags brace in impressive win for Fire club

Published on: 24 April 2016

Aduana Stars continued where they left off in midweek by recording a resounding 3-0 victory over Medeama in the Ghana premier league on Sunday.

Yahaya Mohammed scored in each half plus Elvis Opoku's late strike ensured Aduana made light work of Medeama at the Nana Agyemang-Badu park.

Medeama yet again failed to replicate their impressive CAF confederation cup form as they appeared out of sorts, kowtowing to fifth defeat of the season.

Yahaya Mohammed drew first blood in the 35th minute. The former kotoko attacker collected a good cross from Zakaria Mumuni and powered home a neat strike to end the first half in favour of the host.

Fifteen minutes after the break, Yahaya Mohammed doubled Aduana's lead to increase his tally for the campaign to six, barely one behind top scorer, Latif Blessing of Liberty professionals.

2014 MTN FA Cup top scorer Elvis Opoku converted the third goal with couple of minutes to end proceedings.

Aduana Stars who made a poor start to the season are beginning to pick up the pieces under Cioaba Aristica.

Where as the Mauves continue to seek good fortune on the domestic front.
