BA United needed a controversial penalty to share the spoils with impressive West African Football Academy in a 1-1 draw at the Sunyani Coronation Park on Wednesday afternoon.

Midfielder Francis Kyeremeh converted past goalkeeper Razack Abalora after referee Nuhu Liman claimed the WAFA gloves man had fouled striker Charles Oppong.

That decision saw the WAFA bench protest briefly before the kick was taken.

The visitors looked comfortable and took the lead on the hour mark when winger Zacharia Mumumi shot from long range which beat goalkeeper Lawrence Osei.
