Asante Kotoko SC have been enjoying a fabulous run of form lately as they are looking to grab a third consecutive victory this Sunday against Medeama SC at the Babayara stadium.

The Porcupine Warriors beat bitterest rivals Hearts of Oak on penalties to clinch the 2017 President's Cup last Monday after a rained off on Sunday.

The cup triumph is set to boost the morale of the reds ahead of this weekend's fixture.

They will need a win or draw to extend their unbeaten streak to seven games.

A win on Sunday could as well see the Porcupine club to leapfrog their fiercest rivals Hearts of Oak on the league table if they stumble at Bechem United same day.

Stalwart centre back Awal Mohammed is out of Sunday's game following his inclusion in the Black Stars B who have travelled to Togo.

Saddick Adams is available for selection He missed the last league match through injury.

Medeama SC will have a daunting hill to climb to prove their worth in pursuing a top four finish at the end of the season when they travel to Kumasi to face a rejuvenated Asante Kotoko SC side.

Steven George Polack has not lost since taking over as head coach of the royal club but the Yellow and Mauves aim at ending the unbeaten spell on Sunday.

They need a victory to break their winless run at Asante Kotoko SC since 2010 and that could keep their top four ambitions intact.

Right back Amos Korankye won't make the trip to the Ashanti capital. He has missed all of the last four league games.

Midfield dynamo Justice Blay is also part of the the Black Stars B squad for the international friendly against Togo on Sunday.
