Tema Youth

Tema Youth FC clash with Great Olympics at the Tema stadium on Wednesday in a crucial derby duel as both sides seek safety with two games to end the first round.

The Harbour City boys are 13th on the table with just two points from the drop.

A win in midweek against the Wonder Club will cushion them in their survival fight.

Third tier side Emmanuel FC edged them out of the MTN FA Cup with a 1-0 win last Saturday. They are without a win over a month now.

New recruit Abdul Wahab Hannan could make his premiership debut in the colours of the Tema side if selected by coach Edward Nii Odoom on Wednesday.

Peace has prevailed at Great Olympics as new head coach Tom Strand will work together with player coach Godwin Attram ahead of their visit to the Harbour City.

They failed to make the peace count last Sunday in the FA Cup as they were eliminated by second tier outfit Accra Young Wise FC.

They lost 1-0 in the regional derby.

The Swedish will be at the helm of affairs for the second time in the premiership for the capital club.

He managed to pick a point in his first outing in another regional derby weeks aback.

Douglas Mintah, Douglas Opoku, Christopher Nakai Nettey, David Amuzu and Osah Bernardinho Tetteh are coming back into the team for midweek's fixture.
