Ghana Premier League Preview: Wa All Stars vs Inter Allies- Struggling defending champions must find a way out at home
Wa All Stars

Are Wa All Stars ready to bounce back from their recent slump? They have a good opportunity to do so when they host Inter Allies FC at the Wa park on Sunday.

The Northern Blues' route to retaining the premiership title looks very gloomy since they are yet to get a win in the new season despite having two games outstanding.

They are winless in their last four competitive matches including two league matches.

Much will depend on striker Richard Arthur if they should record their first win of the season. He has scored in three of their last four matches.

The champions will do battle without captain Hafiz Adams who is nursing an injury.

Versatile defender Nicholas Mensah is still sidelined due to an injury whilst winger Maxwell Baakoh will be expecting to make a comeback from injury.

After recording first victory of the 2016/2017 season, Inter Allies FC are very optimistic of picking another vital point at the expense of the title holders on Sunday as they did at Tarkwa a fortnight ago.

They have never managed even a draw at the Wa park since making it to the top flight.

Ending such a record will come as a huge boost before their home game against ambitious Aduana Stars.

Ghana U20 goalkeeper Kwame Baah is likely to return to the posts after recovering from an injury he attracted in week two.

They has been out of the last two matches in the league.

Young and promising talent Fard Ibrahim made his senior debut for the 'Eleven Is To One' when they beat Ebusua Dwarfs 2-1 last weekend.

He is tipped to make the squad for the journey to the North.
