West African Football Academy hope to consolidate their lead on the league log with a seventh win in a row as they tackle Liberty Professionals at the Sogakope park in midweek.

The Academy lads are just a point above title contenders Aduana Stars but are expected to stretch the lead since the latter are playing Asante Kotoko SC.

They saw off lower tier side ALKE FC 2-0 in a regional derby to advance to the next stage of the MTN FA Cup last Saturday.

Komlan Agbegniadan and Daniel Lomotey Agbloe were the scorers.

They have not returned from their European trial. All other players readily available.

Liberty Professionals are travelling to the Volta region with their intentions of ending their drawing run.

They have drawn all of their last five league games.

The Scientific Soccer Lads once again drew in regulation time in their FA Cup match against Inter Allies FC last Saturday even though they qualified to the next round via 4-2 penalty shootout.

Leading marksman Bernard Kwame Arthur returns to the squad for the trip to the Academy base.

He club's top scorer with four goals and a graduate of the West African Football Academy.

Tamimu Muntari and Cephas Doku remain sidelined with injuries whilst Issah Mohammed Shaibu is fit to play on Wednesday.
