There was a huge scare at the Baba Yara Stadium on Wednesday when the glass case containing the new Ghana Premier League crashed while on parade.

The vehicle carrying the giant 90cm trophy and three other smaller ones drove over an artificial TV production cable strip during the unveiling to fans inside the trophy when Kotoko hosted Heart of Lions.

The turbulence resulted in the cracking of the glass case but the trophies were not damaged as they fell in the bucket of the Ford pick-up truck.

Ghana Premier League headline sponsor First Capital Plus were unveiling the new trophy to the fans

It went through the principal streets of the Ghana’s largest city.
