Defending champions Asante Kotoko will attempt to get their title defence campaign on track against early leaders Hasaacas.

Kotoko’s only defeat against their midweek opponents was on home turf, in April 2007.

The meeting between Berekum Chelsea and Hearts of Oak is a clash of former champions who are struggling to replicate their glorious days.

With Gilbert Fiamanyo’s late winner sparing the blushes of the 20-times league champions, the Phobians will have to better their Kpando display at Berekum if they are to get their second consecutive win of the season.

With three wins in their 12 previous meetings in the league, Berekum Chelsea will be looking to get their sixth league victory over Hearts.

The visit of Wa All Stars to the Tarkwa TNA Park could not have been any tougher, especially after Medeama lost their season opener to Inter Allies.

The visitors will be full of confidence, coming on the back of a 1-0 victory over Chelsea.

The spirited performances shown by Stephen Nyarko and Kofi Yeboah in midfield for the only northern campaigners will a source of encouragement for the Wa based side.

Their previous 14 matches suggest a cagey encounter as Medeama’s 5 win was even bettered by the visitors 6, with just 3 draws in the process.

Yussif Abubakar’s Heart of Lions visit Great Olympics.

After their faulty start in day one, Great Olympics will have to rely on their home form for safety.

Statistically however, their 1 win in 8 attempts against the Kpando-based side may just have to wait a little longer.

The 2-0 spanking by AshantiGold was a bit harsh as their performance deserved at least a goal in Obuasi.

In other interesting matches, Aduana Stars visit Edubiase at Obuasi whiles AshantiGold travel to Sogakope for their midweek WAFA clash.

Bechem United and Inter Allies lock horn at Bechem whiles returnees B A United travel to Dansoman to play Liberty Professionals.
