Ghana reports Namibia coach to Caf

The Ghana FA (GFA) has reported Nambia's U20 female team coach to Caf for claiming that Ghana age-cheated during a recent World Cup qualifier.

The Black Princesses thrashed Namibia 10-0 on aggregate in the two-legged qualifier for the FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup.

Following the emphatic defeat suffered at the hands of Ghana's female youth squad, Namibia coach Jacqueline Shipanga leveled accusations of age-cheating.

Shipanga fingered USA-based striker Florence Dadson in her accusations while making similar claims against some other players.

But in a strognly-worded letter to Caf, the GFA says Shipanga's claims has damaged the intergrity of the Black Princesses.

"The Management Committee of Ghana’s Under-20 female team, the Black Princesses have read with disgust, accusations of age-cheating leveled against the team by the coach of Namibia’s Under-20 team, Jacqueline Shipanga," the statement read.

"The committee and for that matter, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) takes serious exception to these allegations which is intended to discredit the efforts being put in further develop and promote women’s football and impune on the integrity of GFA.

"The committee finds the behavior and utterance of Ms Shipanga as unguarded and very irresponsible which has impuned on the integrity of Ghana.''

Caf it yet to respond to the letter sent by the Ghana FA.
