Ghana 'reserves' lead preparations for Tunisia test

Starters in the final Group D game against Guinea were given a rest in Thursday's training session as Ghana began preparations towards their 2012 AFCON quarter final clash with Tunisia.

Only players that either came on or remained on the substitutes bench were given a run out by coach Goran Stevanovic.

The evening's session was boosted by the full participation of defender John Mensah.

The Ghana captain has been out with a thigh strain he picked up in the opening group game against Botswana.

Slight rains in the morning prevented most of the Black Stars players from coming down for breakfast but were all present during lunch.

Mood in camp after Wednesday's grueling 1-1 draw with Guinea appeared quiet subdued though relaxed - most like the atmosphere after the opening 1-0 win over the tournament debutants, Botswana.

The Black Stars were less convincing despite qualifying for the first knockout round at the Nations Cup as group winners.

The team has received a lot of flack for their belwo-par performance back home in Ghana where the football-crazy  fans don't just expect a win from their side but then one with  a lot of style.

Ghana faces-off with Tunisia who hosted and won the 2004 edition of the competition at the Stade de Franceville on Sunday night where a much better performance is expected of the Black Stars.
