Ghana is set to lose out on in-form Athletic Bilbao striker Inaki Williams as Spain head coach Vicente Del Bosque is pondering handing the young striker his debut call-up.

The 21-year-old forward has drawn worldwide attention with his superb form in the La Liga for Athletic Bilbao and is currently under consideration for a call-up from the former Real Madrid boss.

Spain coach Del Bosque could easily graduate the youngster from the Spain U21 side and cap him at senior level to disable Ghana of any future chance.

Williams's impressive scoring form saw him score a brilliant 'golazo' for Bilbao in a 2-1 triumph over Espanyol last weekend.

Chelsea striker Diego Costa is failing to get the goals for the La Furia Roja and Williams has come in for consideration.

With Spain's next official game coming in May 2016 after Tuesday's international friendly against Belgium, Ghana might have the opportunity to convince the young forward to switch allegiance to the West African country.

Williams was born to a Ghanaian father and Liberian mother in Spain but neither of the African countries have made any attempts to convince him to commit his international future to them.

Though, the Ghana FA President Kwesi Nyantakyi has mentioned in the past the four-time African champions could consider talking to the striker.

Currently the striker is playing with Spain U21 side and could easily be graduated to the senior side by Del Bosque following his eye-catching performances for Bilbao in the domestic and Europa League.

He holds a Spanish passport and would have to acquire a Ghanaian passport to begin his process of nationality switch if the Ghana FA are able to successful convince him to play for the Black Stars.
