Ghana slide two places down on FIFA ranking but remain third in Africa

Ghana have slipped two places down to 27th on the FIFA ranking released for the month of August for the month of August.

But the Black Stars remained the third best national team on the continent.

FIFA took into account 29 international ‘A’ matches, 26 of them were CONCACAF Gold Cup matches and the remaining three were friendlies.

Mexico by virtue of winning the CONCACAF Gold Cup leapt pass Ghana after climbing 14 places.

There is a change in the top three with Belgium (2nd, up 1) swapping places with Germany (3rd, down 1) behind leaders Argentina.
